Chinese are launching their own Viagra-like drug after the government revealed it could boost a man’s sexual libido.
Pfizer Inc. has been raising the price of Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs from about 25 cents to $1 per pill to treat male impotence.
Chinese pharmaceutical company Pfizer said in a statement that it was “reviewing the safety profile and regulatory process” for its erectile dysfunction drugs.
The company said the drug had been approved for use in the U. S. market by the FDA and that it was safe to use in clinical trials.

The drugs are also used as treatments for pulmonary arterial hypertension.
The FDA has approved Viagra for use in men only, and the drug was approved by the agency in 2003.
